Description
Use this Meatballs recipe to make these perfect meatball sandwiches.
Ingredients
Hoagie bun
olive oil
Mozzarella cheese and/or Provolone cheese
3-4 meatballs in tomato sauce
Parmesan cheese
Procedure
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Prepare bun by shaving a thin layer off the top of the roll. Remove some of the bready interior so that you're left with a "submarine."
Brush the inside of the hollowed-out bun with olive oil.
Fill the bottom of the bun with mozzarella and/or provolone cheeses and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake until buns are lightly browned and the cheese is melted.
Fill the subs with the tomato sauce, then 3-4 meatballs. Top with more sauce, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
